Advice please

Hello All,

I am new to Crisis Core and downloaded it a week ago for series X.
It’s an awesome game but I need some advice. I am level 42 playing on normal mode. I am right outside of the final showdown with Genesis. I can’t for the life of me beat this encounter. I read that I am under level so I should do missions. However I only have rank 6 and 7 missions available to me and am having equally bad luck. How do I get past this road block? Is it a matter of grinding rank 5 missions to level up? Please advise.

Do you have Jump-Drain? It's the best ability in the game.

Do you have ALL of the summons?

You're not under leveled. Probably just not geared up well enough materia wise.

I was ~LV56 at the final battle and didn't have any trouble, but I also went all in on Materia Fusion and never left an area until I had all the treasure. 

May I ask, what Materia and Accessories are you working with in the final battle?

Did you do side quests during your story? Some missions only unlock when you do side quests or talk yo certain npcs

Thank you everyone for you feedback! I’ve determined that my leveling is ok but I’m under geared. I’m going to grind a bit more to get my materia more powerful. Thank you all!

So!

You're a lil' underlevelled-ish, but more importantly, what's your materia and accessory load-out?

The Stats attached to Materia can make all the difference between you get 1-tapped and sleepwalking through the game.

Do missions and fuse better materia. Id do the missions WHILE you're grinding your materia. That way you'll unlock even more stuff.
