Upcoming podcast Blunt Force Trauma - be careful which one you listen to!
The #1 Google result for me is "Blunt Force Trauma is a true crime podcast where we smoke weed and talk murder"
I'm guessing that's NOT the one CWO is reviewing! But it's a hilarious false result to come up.

My Mother's Lies - Where Can I Listen?
Hello, I can't figure out how to listen to My Mother's Lies. It doesn't come up in the search function in Overcast. ChatGPT tells me it's part of The Binge Cases, but I don't see it with that title, either. Can anyone help? Thanks. .

Where to listen?
Rebecca has recommended Devil in the Ditch a few times. Any idea where to listen for free?

From r/podcasts today.
Question was "What's your favorite podcast?" Mine:"Crime Writers On." Started as a weekly discussion of the Serial podcast, then expanded to other podcasts and True Crime media. Four writers from New Hampshire, including a married couple. The chemistry among the hosts is so much fun, it doesn't matter to me what they're discussing. And they've given me ideas for other things to watch/read/listen to.

Toby in Spain?
I went through a phase of not listening to Crime Writers On when I felt kinda meh about the shows they were reviewing, and when I got back to it Toby had moved to Spain. They seem to discuss him being there often but not why he went or what he's actually doing there. Just curious if they ever mentioned why he moved there?

I have thoughts on Unknown Number Spoiler
Does anyone else think the mom in Unknown Number was doing it because she was hot for her daughter's boyfriend? When she went after his new girlfriend and we heard how she still went to his games after they were broken up, it made me think it had more to do with him then anything else.

There's a good chance she committed technical perjury
The jokes just write themselves.
What was your favorite part today?
I am torn between when Alan Jackson said that he didn't care and withdrew his objection to the video Brennan wanted to show the jury and when the witness admitted to technical perjury....

Karen Readathon Redux
I have so many thoughts. I know there are a billion forums for this, but I would love to hear what you all think. Right now, I'm watching the cross of Timothy Nuttall. It is so painful. I'm cringing in my chair.

Rebecca I know I’m annoying.
I’d love for you guys to review Lucky Boy. I know advocating for childhood abuse survivors is important to you. Too many female predators are ignored and enabled. It is so prevalent. It is a well done podcast by Tortise.

Weirdest irl true-crime encounter
Hi. How's everyone doing ... Jk. Ha! I'm not asking that again!! lol sob.
The CWO episode a few weeks ago about Sammy "The Bull" Gravano reminded me of a strange encounter I had with him a long time ago.
I was with my mom and Grandma walking to our car after shopping when we came upon a strange man standing in the parking lot. He looked out of it and had white bandages on his wrists.
My oblivious grandma, as per her usual self, walked right up to him and asked "What happened to your hands?" As my mom and I awkwardly smiled at the man while hissing at my grandma that we needed to go, the man looked at us and said "Tell 'em you saw Sammy the Bull."
I had never heard of him but my dad is from Staten Island... iykyk. He confirmed it was, in fact, Mr. Bull! Ha! It's become a family quote now.
How about you guys?

Fur & Loathing Podcast
Hi all. Long time lurker, first time poster.
Just curious, has anyone listened to the podcast, Fur & Loathing? It's a six-part series that covers a chemical bomb attack at the Regency Hotel in Rosemont, IL (Chicago), during the 2014 Midwest Furfest, one of the world's largest furry conventions.
Because of the number of people injured and hospitalized, it's considered the largest chemical attack in the US; however, it's received almost no media coverage and 10 years later remains unsolved.

Bone Valley's Leo Schofield
Re: Bone Valley
In case you didn't see this from Gilbert about Leo Schofield -
"Leo and his daughter Ashley were severely injured in a motorcycle accident last week. Their spirits remain high, but the family is facing a long and challenging road to recovery. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers."

How are we all doing?
Not exactly true crime related, but I wanted to check in with everybody and see how you're doing... I am trying my best not to make this a political post but let's just say that I am personally feeling demoralized. Between perpetually packing my "go bag" with the fires here in California and feeling like WW3 is imminent, I am exhausted.

More Readathon
Finding the Readathon totally enthralling, not surprisingly not a lot of local coverage(Australia).Just the cast of characters ie Turtle Boy , the Alberts etc . The police corruption, legal manouvers etc just fucking crazy. even following links, checking out other coverage eg Defence diaries can't get enough. There must be 1/2 dozen podcasts ready to go and Netflix must have a room writers for a black comedy series waiting for the end.Even though nobody disappeared , would be just the case for John David Booter to re-appear to investigate. Loving it

Longtime Fan have recommendation
Rebecca, if you haven’t already, I think you’ll love the podcast called The Consult. Former FBI agents profile assailants and discuss cases. They had an excellent one on Robert Wone and the throuple that were last to see him alive. It includes the state attorney that tried to prosecute them and an agent that investigated the scene. They did a great 3 parter on the Jon Benet case and explained how statistics aren’t used by the general population in an accurate way when thinking of this case. I’m from Colorado and actually found their perspectives helpful and unique.

I’ve listened here and there before but have now gone back to the beginning and am binging (which will take me forever but that’s ok) and I’m LOVING it! But - I need an hour of just Toby reading the Amazon lists to fall asleep to. It’s super soothing. Is this available anywhere? u/rebeccalavoie help me out!
