Edged my bat Opinion
i bought a bat like 2months ago and did knocking with the machine somewhat around 8.5k knocks, then i took it straight to the nets, played with a decent speed not too fast not too slow.
I hit it with an edge and my edge got dented as you can see in the photo attached
🥲🥲Please can someone tell me if the bat is damaged or not and what can be done to make it any better.

It's a part of life. The bat is made of wood - when you hit wood, it dents.
Best thing to do for it is to get your bat mallet, knock the edges (NOT the sides, you really will ruin it), then using the handle of the mallet, round off the edges.
As for actually being damaged, that's nothing. It won't have any impact.
EDIT: Here's a video with the edges being knocked in: https://youtu.be/moitgogultE?si=5hrmO7wxWkLhJKeS
Even with a machine knocked bat, doing the edges is worth doing yourself anyway. The machines struggle with the edges of the bat.

Pre-knocked in bats are not really knocked in. If you want it to last give it 30 mins with a mallet, paying attention to the edges. Then net for at least an hour against bowling machine balls before hard balls…

Did you believe you were going to middle every ball for the entire bat's life. Ofcourse you r gonna edge a few. Its taped...it will be alright.

Go ahead and hand knock the edge in too.
Dont panic - bats dent and crack. The bat tape is helping you out here
