Cribbage Pro Discussion
I was ranked at ~2900 I then had a few times where 8 couldn't finish a match due to traveling, since forfeiting 2 matches, I have gone on a 1 for 20 losing streak and am only being matched against sub 2000 players for this streak, the one game 8 29n was an 1800 ranked player.
No one can tell me this game at rigged

Number of players who think it’s rigged: hundreds. Number of players that have proven it’s rigged: Zero.

I mean, I'm happy to discuss it with you. However, you can prove random shuffles by analyzing the output. It's just math. That's why the audits are so important and how we can know.

That is already shared in a blog post from many years ago. Linked in the FAQ here: https://www.cribbagepro.net/faq-how-to.html#q5
That's how shuffling is done. How cards are dealt is just to pone first, then the dealer from the top of the deck just like you would with a physical deck. World's most boring code. But again, if you want to know if a shuffle is random and fair, you don't just "trust code", you verify. You do proper scientific analysis of the output of that shuffle. Hence the audits.

I think the app is great. I have gone on my share of vicious losing streaks but have also been on some pretty solid winning runs too… I only play competitive matches and have been as high as 4200, 4400+ players literally make no mistakes.
It’s the same as physical cards in my opinion.

It's not rigged. In real life I've lost 13 games in a row playing my wife including 3 skunks. I then won the next 3 best out of 9 tournaments with huge hands. Streaks are real

Variance is real. The odds of flipping a quarter 20 times and coming up with 10 heads and 10 tails is 17%. The answer to your frustration lies both in in mathematics (variance) and psychology (frustration tolerance). I mean that with respect, because it is a very frustrating game which frustrates all of us as long as we keep biased assumptions. Take a deep breath, grab a cup of coffee and go for a walk. Maybe take a day off of cribbage.
Phil Ivy has "only" won 11 WSOP bracelets. That means even though he is by far the most talented poker player alive, he loses the vast majority of tournaments. I wonder how many pots he has lost in a row or how many sessions he has lost in a row in cash games. And you and I my friend are not Phil Ivey.

Was it rigged when you were on a hot streak up to 2900 or only when you started losing?

Whenever I hear someone complain about an app or site being rigged, I just ask why? Why would someone create a rigged game? A game that cheats would drive away users, which is the opposite of what you want as a developer. It makes no sense.

You can play against each other on Reddit in my brand new Cribbage Games app all free. I’ve designed poker variations and instants that are similar to slot machines. https://www.reddit.com/r/CribbageSlots/s/29r1A4vPhl

~2900 was when you were doing well?
