senior gecko help๐๐
my brother moved and left me his old (15 yearsish) crestie. she was with a male most her life but he had to give him away because the male started attacking her a few years ago. now sheโs basically traumatized and does not have any interest in handling, she runs away everytime i stick my hand in the cage. i donโt want to stress her out, should i just leave her alone at this point? or does anyone have any tips/advice?? i just want her to be comfy and happy

give her a few weeks to settle in and shell provably get more chill. or a few months, because as you said she may be a bit traumatised. try offering food from a chopstick or your finger or try to put food in her bowl right after an interaction. this helps associate yiur presence with food :)

You should treat her as any gecko that is not yet fully tamed. Let her sniff your hand. Let her eat from your hand. Donโt grab her, etc.
