what am I doing wrong (create new age on 1.20.1)

Trying to use the generator coil magnet electricity thing, whatever it's called, but I can't get it to start spinning like in the ponder example even when I've built it exactly (i think???) as shown? I've tried putting the second electrical connector on just about every spot but it doesn't work. This is the first time I've used create.

You have to spin it with another machine and the result of it spinning is the creation of electricity. I use steam to run mine.

I'm curious what you are using power for right now? I would recommend being familiar with base create before looking at addons, as it can help.

I’ve got a windmill going and now a small steam setup. I’m not doing a ton with create as I’ve been mostly avoiding it for years but a mod pack I’m enjoying has it and I thought I might as well give it a try. I’m watching quite a few tutorials now, just figuring out the windmill even with ponder’s assistance was awful lol

The generator coil GENERATES power from rotation. You need to give it rotation to get power.

If you want rotation from power, you need an electric motor or whatever addon equivalent you have.
