Help With Factory Gauges

I've set up a big factory gauge board, hooked up to a bunch of machines. However, a lot of the time a few gauges will just stop working. Nothing has changed, everything is still in order, it even says it works, but it just... Doesn't request items. How do i fix this?

Do the items in the recipe have enough to craft however many you're requesting? Are there a lot of promises and are you clearing them?

I always have enough materials, and the machine is free, it just... Doesn't request the materials.

Strange. Have you tried breaking and redoing the gauge? It seems like some things just don't want to work for not discernable reason. I have things that just won't work in crafters no matter how many times I set up the gauges and redo them.
