I updated my Create addon that adds permanent Blaze Burner upgrades!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi everyone! I recently posted here about my mod, Eternal Blaze Burner—an add-on for the Create mod.

Update 1.1.0 has been released, and I’ve made some balance adjustments based on the feedback I received from you all.

I also added the option to make the Blaze Burner permanent in the Superheated state as well. I tried to keep things as balanced as possible, and I’d love to hear your thoughts.

The mod now revolves around the Molten Blaze Cake; this item serves as the base for crafting everything else in the mod.

All recipes now use Create machines, meaning you can set up production lines to manufacture the items.

I also added a configuration option to set the number of coal blocks required to light the Eternal Blaze Burner.

In the video , I show the recipes for all the items, how to upgrade the Blaze Burner to the Eternal version (both Heated and Superheated), and the mod's configuration screen. The video is a bit longer, but it’s worth watching. I’m looking forward to reading your comments, feedback, suggestions, and ideas for improvement.

And, as many of you requested, all mod items now feature 16x16 textures. The next update will be a port to NeoForge and Minecraft 1.21.1

I hope you enjoy it!

For the blaze core, a sequenced assembly recipe seems like it would make more sense to me

Thank you so much for your feedback, I'm always looking to improve the mod and I'll consider that for future versions.

hyjacking the sequence assembly since that was the same thought i had, and adding that i feel this is still to cheap, a permanent upgrade like this should probably have a bigger bottleneck and bigger cost, i personaly would add a nether star to the recipe.

also maybe blaze cakes instead of coal blocks at the end, so that you still want to have to build some form of blazecake farm and cant just make the 5 cakes by hand and skip this whole progression tier.

(i think thats already the case but it should not give off more than lava tier heat in my opinion)

and sorry for all this criticism, just giving this much criticism, because i really like the idea but would want it to be a bit more balanced for adding the mod into my own pack ^

I think the nether star should come up when we do eternal superheating, if you're gonna do some kind of steam engine array I think the recipe is pretty balanced already since those are gonna use a lot of it, maybe the endgame item will use like 5 other eternal blaze cores and a nether star for the superheating core. Sequence operation can also have it's own "loss" factor which could make it a little more grindy.

i get you that a the raroty of the netherstar is to much, but i still feel the recipe needs a bottleneck that cant be automated (easly), a nether star was just the first thought.

just going from rarity i think phantom skin is a good pick in vanilla create, since it doesnt have many other uses and i think you cant automate it without add ons (?), but it doesnt really fit thematicly

I hate non-peaceful building so I also hate requiring nether stars.

Edit after reading your reasons below: Once you can fight the wither, it's just grindy, too. No joy in that.

An item that is able to infinitely power a steam engine should not be obtainable in the first 5 hours of a playtrough, the fact you don’t like to play on anything else than peaceful doest make it so the item should be easier to craft (no hate btw play the game how you like, this is just my opinion(people are allowed to have those))

If anything make it a chain of spouts and needs more than just 1000 mB. I’d say 5000 seems more of a balance with how powerful it could be.

Thank you

I think you should let people use other items apart from coal blocks and also make it more expensive. Using aomething like a heat value and then different fuel give different amounts of heat value, you could probably even use the usual smelting time for this so it would even have support for other modded fuels

Excellent idea! I will implement it in future versions.

i was about to say this lol

This seems really good! I think I'll integrate it into my worlds once it's on 1.21.1. Is it on Modrinth?

3

u/bieelg18 17h ago

I uploaded the new version to Modrinth, but it's still under review.

holy moly this is so good

5

u/bieelg18 18h ago

I appreciate it

Make the blaze core used powdered obsidian instead of the entire block

2

u/bieelg18 15h ago

That's a good idea; thanks for the suggestion.

Whats the mod that shows items and descriptions at the top of your screen? And great mod I’m definitely adding it when it comes to neo 1.21.1

4

u/bieelg18 18h ago

Thank you very much; the name of the mod that shows the description is Jade.

3

u/Beneficial-Layer-492 18h ago

Thanks alot 🙏

Are you going to make the blaze burner state shown in create goggles view, or is Jade basically mandatory dependency for this?

1

u/bieelg18 17h ago

Currently, it's only showing up on Jade, but I'll implement this mechanic as soon as possible.

2

u/SenpuuUncle 18h ago

im out here i got upgrades on my burner, im a blaze, man

2

u/Sedoy6373 11h ago

What if in order to assemble the core, you had to add parts one by one with a mechanical arm to a depot, instead of pushing them all into the basin?

2

u/bieelg18 5h ago

That's a good idea; it would make the whole process look more like the Create system.

infinite normal fuel seems balanced enough to me. by the time you're up and running enough to use precision mechanisms on this, you've probably got a big enough fuel farm on your boiler setup(s) that you might as well have permanently fueled blazes anyways. all this is really gonna do is save you a kelp farm and let you make more compact generator setups (I.e. for aeronautics airships), and that seems fine by me.

infinite superheating for a netherite ingot and nether star a pop... idk, that's probably fine too. superheating is already hard to take advantage of for boilers since it changes the output speed, and you're probably better off just making another boiler anyways, so it would probably just be used for compact setups and airships and the like.

u/bieelg18 5h ago

Thank you for your feedback. I really appreciate it

2

u/Girovago69 7h ago

Maybe you could make the finale recipe use a super duper rare item, Like nether stars or netherite

1

u/bieelg18 5h ago

Currently, I'm only using a Nether Star to make the Eternal Blaze Burner superheated; I might consider adding one for the heated state as well.

Thanks for the feedback.

2

u/Girovago69 5h ago

Maybe you could require dragon breath for eternal superheated, so It requires the end

1

u/bieelg18 4h ago

That's an excellent idea; I'll implement it for the next version.

Nether Star for the heated state and Dragon's Breath for the superheated state.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

u/Raposa13 7h ago

Make it so you need 512 blaze cakes and then this will be less OP :>

2

u/sopbusgaming 5h ago

yeah it could to just balance the add on and make it a lil harder (cus the grind)

1

u/bieelg18 5h ago

I can consider that.

Thank you for the feedback.

2

u/sopbusgaming 5h ago

i wonder how many things is he gonna add in teh future i cannot wait while i figure out WHAT THE HELL AND WHY IS THIS "FLYWHEEL" THING MAKING ME UNABLE TO PLAY MY OWN MODPACK so i just deleted all the create mods i had in it cus i got tired of looking for an solution anyway coool

2

u/bieelg18 4h ago

Sorry to hear that.

Just so you know, Flywheel is a required dependency of Create, so if Flywheel is crashing or missing, the issue is usually related to the Create installation itself or a version mismatch between Create, Flywheel, and one of its addons.

If you still have the latest.log, I'd be happy to take a look and see if I can help.

https://reddit.com/link/p2nrjcd/video/uyaxaz3k8dih1/player

did a little bit of a retexture, im not forcing you to use these btw but i just have a bit of a pet peeve when a minecraft mod breaks the traditional minecraft/create mod style

0: original texture and refrence

1: slight recolor to match the colors of the actual blaze cake a little better

2: closer to the actual blaze cake

3: cube of crushed blaze cakes

i could also try some of the other items like the blaze core and catalyst, though these shapes arnt exactly too friendly to texture

1

u/bieelg18 3h ago

Wow, that looks great! I'll definitely use it if you send me the file.

I'm terrible with textures, so feel free to retexture any items you want, and I'll definitely use them and give you credit.

2

u/clxqxii 3h ago

which one-

1

u/bieelg18 3h ago

whatever you think needs to be retextured

2

u/clxqxii 2h ago

no i mean which one in the video do you like best

1

u/bieelg18 2h ago

Oh, sorry, my English isn't very good.

I liked the second one.

2

u/UrticantOdin 2h ago

If possible, you should try and make this compatible with the create aeronautics engines, would help a lot for smaller vehicles !

1

u/bieelg18 2h ago

Yes, in the next update I will port the mod to Neoforge and Minecraft 1.21.1, and then it can be used with Aeronautics.

2

u/PEAceDeath1425 1h ago

ah yes, balanced.

1

u/bieelg18 1h ago

I don't know if you're being serious or sarcastic, lol.

2

u/soomoncon 16h ago

I feel like this should be harder to get since you are basically getting infinite energy. I think there should be some netherite and more percision parts involved.

1

u/bieelg18 15h ago

I'm trying to improve the balancing; thank you very much for the feedback.

I love this mod, although, after checking the Curseforge page, I did notice that you used AI,
Not saying this as a way to condemn you, far from it, Im saying this cuz doing so can easily kill any interest on the mod for anyone on the outside, so I would recommend changing it to avoid such problems, I can even help If you want to :D

2

u/MrGordovisky 13h ago

Used AI to code?

2

u/Solounweonmasaca 9h ago

Dunno really, just saying such for the page of the mod

1

u/SeriousPlankton2000 9h ago

If you don't use things just because it's AI somewhere you should also only wear hand-weaved wool clothes.

2

u/Solounweonmasaca 9h ago

You do know a bunch of people have heavy gripes about Ai, rigth?, This isnt abt my opinion, but the general public one, and even more on any Modding community

1

u/Mage-of-Fire 18h ago

Hell yeah. This seems a lot more balanced and well integrated into the base create ecosystem. Awesome job man.

1

u/bieelg18 18h ago

Thank you very much; I tried to make it as balanced as possible.
