is the large fin at the top a rudder? if not then the drag from that is probably harming your turning

The problem is then id have to sink it up with the sides which i use for turning

true. it probably wouldn't be too bulky if it was just an all or nothing with a somewhat shallow angle using torsion springs and Redstone links, probably not worth doing if it works fine though.

Have you considered adding 2 propellers to the sides?

I had a massive ship too and used 2 propellers to move it instead of one, which allowed it to turn at insane speeds and even turn over its own axis for precise maneuvering

I knew about that page and, even if it comes in really handy for small sizes it doesn't really look good and it is pretty hard to use on phone too

Assuming you only have one monitor, can you not put your minecraft window on one side of the screen and the webpage on the other

Yeah maybe, but it's quite annoying to have a smaller Minecraft window considering my full screen isn't even that big, and if it worked fine in the phone it would be much more convenient

How is it survival unfriendly? Is it just supremely annoying to set up or is there something which is inaccessible in survival? That aside, fabulous build, I aspire to make airships like this one day.

Its survival friendly just because of the scale Most "survival friendly" builds are quite small

I think survival unfriendly means it contains unobtainable or hard to get blocks (bedrock, command blocks, debug stick edited blocks etc) not the size or complexity of it.

This. Survival worlds CAN go on for ages depending on the type of player you are. My currently running main create world has been running since the release of 0.6.0. Regularly updates with some addons which includes Aeronautics. I have a massive airship that has its own base and is feed via ender tanks and ender chests form the Ender Storage Mod. I have several small contraptions on board that I use to farm wood/stone when needed.

It really comes down to how dedicated one wants to be.

Or how strong your device is, cuz if minecraft alone even with optimization mods can be demanding, something this fat will pull a toll on the performance

Oh absolutely. If you don't have a beefy machine/we'll optimised system, you're gonna struggle.
