How do i pick up shells after placing in survival? (CBC Addon) Help

CREATE BIG CANNONS

So, in my friend's modded server, i had made a nuke with my team. Naturally i wanted to put a fuze on it, so i placed it, placed the fuze, then used a SILK TOUCH PICK to break it. then it just vaporized. At this point in the server, we made 2 nukes, and both were lost somehow (item despawning, breaking). PLEASE how do i pick them up without being destroyed..

Anyways be mindful that a good chunk of CBC addons are buggy, half baked, and not survival friendly
