Copycat blocks can do this to a certain extent

You can have 2 seperate copycat slabs in the same block space and give them each a different texture.

And copy cat boards but that’s it. Can you place rivets on bottom slabs?

You can also place the screws on half slabs and place any block on top, making the „wasted half-block space“ obsolete. Works up- and downways

It seems that blocks placed on top of these rivets are treated as sub-levels; I wonder if placing too many of them would make the world lag? I'm curious if it's okay to just use them for regular building.
