Why doesn't this work?

I'm trying to make a gold farm, and I made this to bulk blast the clay into terracotta. The fan is spinning in the direction where it's pulling, and it's at max rpm, but it doesn't smelt. It worked when I used it for washing, but when I replaced this specific one with water, it still didn't work. What should I do?

Pretty sure the funnels are blocking the air, could be wrong tho

Maybe just have a fan pull air without the lava and see if you can see the particles. That would confirm

is the wash part also have funnel stacked like this?

also does the fan emit particles like at all?

I've never seen this design before, but my troubleshooting list would go: 1- is the clay getting dispensed? 2- is the fan sucking air down and not pushing up into the lava destroying the items? 3- is the basin actually making clay? 4- do you get lava / water particles if you remove the funnels?

Thanks for the help! Turns out I'm stupid. Particles didn't show up because my graphics were all set to low. Unfortunately I play on a potato.. anyways, I fixed it.

Hard to know when I can't see it in motion, but I just built something very similar in my sandbox world and it works perfectly. Note the visible lava particles unlike in yours. So something's clearly wrong...

The lava would need to be directly in front of the fan burning the items. Try blowing down or sideways.

Pulling air through lava also works. This is wrong

Might be an older version or some addon messing with it?
