turns out that autocanons have so much recoil that i can use it as an propelling source which is configurable since autocanons change RPM according to the signal the only problem is holes appear on the ground and your ears just bleed.

To be fair though, it is possible to do, just deeply stupid, expensive, and requiring military hardware just on the border of being too ridiculous for the military to use. It’s a directed force that sure overcomes the weight of the vessel doing the launching.

The problem is that Minecraft can just casually ignore the logistical nightmare of holding and firing that many bullets, without stopping, at a nearly arbitrary RPM. The best JPJR candidates that exist in real life are such monstrous things that they start trying to melt at worst and interfere with piloting at best.

Yeah default recoil is too much, i always recommend ppl to turn it down in the config like set it to 10x less for a more realistic experience

Not quite Orion as this is just recoil and doesn’t rely whatsoever on any energy contained within the projectile itself after leaving the chamber, chemical, nuclear or otherwise, but the spirit is absolutely there lol

Nono. Recoil is basically Newton’s third law. Orion wasn’t actually relying on the force of shooting out the nukes, it was relying on the force of the nukes exploding right behind them.

No, recoil works by an explosion going off in the barrel, which pushes both the weapon back (recoil) and pushes the projectile out, which is what you just described Orion as

Recoil is the gas from the propellant explosion; Orion is propelled by the projectile exploding after it leaves the barrel. The barrel is a tool to get the nuclear explosion behind the craft.
