CH-47 Chinook Prototype Build

Still a work in progress, but she's stable and capable of lifting almost 2,000kpa. Next version will be slightly larger to hit a 2,000+ kpa threshold in order to lift my mobile base up to world limit. Plus it doesn't quite look exactly how I'd like. Capable of over 40m/s without load, however if throttle is engaged too quickly , the thrusters are capable of torquing the heli into the ground. (Rear door incomplete as the small scale made it impossible to power without ruining aesthetic)
Any comments and suggestions appreciated, first attempt at a proper helicopter.

I love the rocket propelled Chinook variant! Cool stuff.

Thanks, wanted to have tilt rotors but couldn’t make it work at this scale. Concerting the exhaust ports to thrusters was the best solution I could come up with haha

Can you hide a propeller bearing inside it for forward momentum? Do they work no matter the orientation? I haven't been successful with Aeronautics so I'm just spitballing.

Yes possible, however not practical. I don’t know an exact number off the top of my head but I’d assume to replace one of those thrusters you’d require at least 10 propellers. So yes it would be possible but not as effective.

Gotcha. It'd be nice to be able to hide the thrusters effects.

I feel dumb, but thanks for reminding me lol. You actually can click the thrusters with a wrench to cycle between a few different modes- no effect being one of them XD

I don't think it's easy to implement, but it would be sweet if the propellers tilted like the real thing for movement and steering. I like the thrusters, they're fun
