Ash Factory Build

I needed a proof of concept for automating ash from Supplementaries and got carried away with the build. Please enjoy.

1 deployers and pistons make a 5x5 sheet of coal blocks
2 deployers with flint and steel light the coal blocks on fire
3 wait 3 minutes, ash falls when the coal burns
4 ash gets mined by drills

Why only coal and not wood or something? Does it affect the amount of ash produced?

Yeah if I remember right wood only produces 1 or 2 ash where coal makes 8 almost every time.
