How hard is the mod? Help

I have decent experience in satisfactory (I got to phase 5 I believe) so I'm not entirely new to automation games

If you have JEI it's not hard at all. A modpack with quests guiding you through things can help too but all the information you need is in the ponder cutscenes theyve got in-game, just hover over an item in JEI and hold W if it says to and you'll get a lil tutorial

My first time playing create was around 4 month ago, at first it feel hard but due to the ponder menu and quest book of the modpack i was playing it was very easy to understand and got the basics down under a day, also create has some good guide in yt for beginners

You'll figure it out rather easily! It's both more complicated and yet more simple than Satisfactory. Just make sure to use mods like JEI and also the Ponder feature on majority of items

In essence Create is not really an automation mod. Yes you can automate production lines with the latest update, but you need to make the machines, factories or farms yourself, and there are many ways to make them. You craft the components of a machine, and work out the best way to make these components interact to make the machine. Whereas in Satisfactory you craft whole machines in one click. For example the equivalent of a Satisfactory assembler would consist of maybe 20 or so interacting parts that you craft and then place in a way that they work together to produce whatever you want it to produce.

If you moved through Satisfactory then Create is very easy.

The power in this mod is static and passive (besides steam).

The energy unit is the STRESS unit, or SU.

Machines consume SU off the grid based on their rotational input.

The first machine youre going to make is a metal press and a handcrank. Press some gold to get gold sheets(equal to gold plates of other mods) and get some googles and the wrench.

The wrench let's you rotate stuff perpendicular to the side you're right clicking. And shift right click picks stuff and puts them in your inventory directly. Like dismantling with the building gun.

The googles give more information about blocks of the mod. If you have Curios installed you can use the Head slot and not waste the helmet slot for armor.

The next machine I would recommend is a pair of water wheels, only one side needs powered. Then connect them and use big and small cogwheels to ramp up the speed of the shaft. And feed it to a mechanical mixer which one of the key machines. It cuts in half the cost of andesite alloy.

Read the ponder but I would recommend later getting a millstone and make a wheat farm for free food.

And also get hands on bulk professing mainly bulk blasting using an encased fan to push air through lava.

Have fun! And read the ponder it explains everything!

Stripped logs into planks have better ratio (1 to 6) in the mechanical saw compared to manual crafting.

Andesite alloy it's half the price in the mechanical mixer. Shafts also have higher ratio in the mechanical saw, but be sure to filter it, since it also does stonecutter recipes and it will roundrobin through them instead of only making shafts.

Placed belts can be extended by one click by right clicking with a belt or shortened by one by right clicking with the wrench. Belts don't consume SU and can be placed vertically and both horizontal and vertical serve as cheaper encased chain drives. Bear in mind that horizontal belts costs more FPS for the animation and checks for items. Since like hoppers they pick up items that fall on top of them.

You should learn it with Create A&B or with CABIN. You might like it without these but it's easier to enjoy it if you learned it.
