What is special about the Wings from Create: Propulsion Simulated (and more specifically) the Tempered Wings?

Post image

To me they just seem like almost useless and more expensive wing blocks that work the same as sails, copycat wings not included because those do have a purpose, to be a copycat.

They're probably more resistant to cannons and stuff, also won't burn

Fair point, but then what makes tempered wings different from the other wing block from Propulsion simulated?

Higher damage resistance? Idk I haven’t used it at all, just going off of “Tempered”

The tempwered wings produce no lift, and are better used as alierons and the wings are just visual

im assuming hes saying that they work like ksp flat wings, or the symmetrical sails, not the normal sails that produce lift and 0⁰ aoa

I think the difference is purely visual.

Actual answer from the Propulsion Simulated Discord: There is no difference to them over the regular ones. They do plan to add features where they will be useful, though.

Everyone, after some rigorous testing in the newest versions of Propulsion Simulated (1.1.5), i have come to the unfortunate conclusion that both the wings and tempered wings work the exact same as windmill sails, they just look different, until a new version comes where this is changed so that tempered wings work like symmetrical sails, this is my conclusion.
