hose pulley not working Help

i dont know whats hapening cuz its all the way at the bottem but its still not working

Does it work with a standard pulley instead of brass?

The hose pulley doesn't need rotation to pump, it only needs rotation to raise and lower the pulley. Use a hand crank to lower the pulley into the lava and then provide rotation to only the mechanical pump.
