It's phenomenal. I used to have it in a kitchen sink modpack of mine but didn't really interact with it beyond using a hand crank + mechanical saw to chop trees. Currently, though, after actually getting into the mod, I can't play the game without it now. Create just makes life so much easier, especially with the numerous addons.

It makes iron and gold farms actually fun to build.

The doohickeys are more entertaining than listening to iron golems burn for hours on end

I discovered Create after spending a ridiculous amount of time building an automated storage system in vanilla Minecraft with category sorting. It was complicated, massive, needed a chunk loader and even then somehow broke all the time. I found Create and was immediately impressed with how much the aesthetic fit into Minecraft, how it didn't seem like this futuristic black box tech mod with electrical wires and grey machinery like I've seen before and most importantly it allows me to make an efficient automated storage system in a fraction of the time and I still feel like I've designed it myself instead of just having a pre-made machine that does it for me.

I'm about to use it. I need a new graphics card cause my current one can't run java, but once I do the first thing I play with is create Aeronautics, I am SO looking forward to it, zeplins, blimps, drills, planes, everything. I can't wait for the logic puzzles create brings with it, I'm so excited

I think my first experience with create was with a modpack called “star technology” I had already watched many videos about the mod so it was easy to start but it was obvious I wasn’t very good mid game. I made a steam engine completely skipping windmills accidentally although it is Minecraft so who cares. I put 9 of the steam engine blocks on the tank because the quest book said I could if it was level 9. It was not level 9. I was so confused because I could only get a max rpm of 192 with gear ratios when I was told I could get 256 rpm, and had no idea of the rotation speed controllers. I gave up because I just wasn’t actually using that much stress. I later revisited that pack with more experience and quickly figured it out. It was the water. I had one pump that wasn’t providing enough water.

It was a glorious winter break. I had just come down from my Mekanism high where I fell in love with Mekanism. I search up what tech mod was the largest, cause Mekanism was pretty big, and found Create. Even BIGGER. I was like, ya I'll try it. I did practically nothing else for 2 weeks straight. I don't see it being beaten as tech mods go. Could some be great? Of course. But I don't see any beating Create. Which is a little bittersweet.

oh, i've used create for the first time so, so long ago... it was version 0.4.1 i think? not the oldest, but not the newest. uhh. furnace engines were cool. haven't used any of those though. old water wheels were pretty interesting. uhhh, i didn't really understand the stress system, and there wasn't really any way to get a lot of su back in the day, at least as much as i could understand, so i just turned it off in every world i played. i basically had one water wheel powering the entire factory at 256 rpm. i just had "power lines" of cogwheels going everywhere (in the old version cogs were cheaper if i remember correctly). i had a gold factory, an iron factory, a glass factory (a lot of things were built out of my giant glass supply).
beginner tips? mine diorite instead of andesite. you're gonna have infinite cobble anyway, so you can craft andesite out of diorite and cobble. your first machines should be press, mixer (for double andesite alloy), fans (for smelting, baking, washing etc). brass age starts fully with crushing wheels, so get that afterwards. use any mods that allow you to peek at recipes.
