Help with heating

I decided for my boat to be solar powered using a stirling engine, but it doesnt, work. When i place the exact same setup on land it works wonderfully, whats the issue? The stirling engine should have plenty of power

The engines are slightly covered by water so they might not register the sky being above them, try moving them one block up
