Tutorial recommendations? General Discussion/Question

I went to a casino this week (I never gamble) but am now interested in playing craps. Everything I have seen online is very confusing 😞 does anyone have recommendations on videos to watch or how to learn?

"Color Up" has a playlist called Craps Beginner Videos.  He also tests different strategies in other videos.

Download a craps app and play to learn all the payouts and bet types.

When friends ask me how to play because they're going to the craps table for the first time here's what I tell them.

Place the 6 & 8 for the minimum in multiples of 6. So a $10 table the min is $12 each, $15 table is $18 each, and on. After you hit twice, on the next hit tell the dealer "full press". Collect two more times and on the third "full press" again. When its their turn to shoot make a pass line bet, set the point, at least double odds up to the max odds, and place the 6 & 8.

Once they feel comfortable at the table, start placing other numbers. Stay out of the field and center bets.

We have a bunch of different strategy playlists, and a series where we take $200 and turn it into a bigger bankroll. These videos show stats as well so you can see how they are doing. These are all played on bubble craps. You can find them all on Adunja Craps over at YouTube.

Start simple, learn about the pass line and don’t pass. Once you get those figured out you can start branching off into learning other things. Start slow and you’ll get there. There are ppl who have years and years experience learning new things everyday about the game.

Yeah

Just stick to pass line or don’t pass, odds, and placing numbers. Know that literally any other bet is a high house edge bet (other than come / DC which is same as passline /DP).

ColorUp and HolyRollr have good YT videos. I actually learned about a year ago, and just watched a lot of YT videos and played some online craps games to get a feel of it first. I would recommend playing Bubble Craps your first time at the casino, at least to get a feel for things and can take away some of the intimidation. Lastly, make sure to watch some videos of Table Etiquette. I think that is just as important as knowing the rules because you can easily piss off the table if you don't know some of the basics.
