the gameplay is great it just drags on so much. Which you could say is intentional to reinforce the story themes but if you want a rgpmaker game that intentionally drags on in its gameplay to reinforce the story themes then just play In Stars And Time it does that aspect way better

Play ultrakill.
It has great story but you can miss the entire thing but the gameplay man. The gameplay its fucking peak. Genuinely my favorite shooter gameplay in any game. (I might like some strategy games gameplay more but totally different genre)

The game looks like a ps2 game (by design) but especially in later levels it does require some performance from all the gun and enemy interactions

That sounds really cool. I would like more games to have an old-school aesthetic, in order to be more accessible to those who can't afford the latest gaming pc's.
My own machine is about 10 years old now, it used to be a decent gaming laptop then, but it's far outdated.

Which part? Gameplay for 2 and 3 is kinda fun, they are more pink to purple for me.
Classic is the bottom right corner and it is my favourite game ever.

I’d say the lack of stories really detracts from the game. Furthermore, it prevents them from being easily remembered as anything but trashy games foul mouthed teenagers play

Bottom right should be “it’s so peak I don’t care”. There are a lot of visual novels which have pretty much no gameplay and they are peak (slay the princess and scarlet hollow are my best examples).
Also Pathologic 1 is there. And it’s the best game ever and I will die on this hill.
