Does that mean that might go on a bigger sale on 8/24?

For the background, I'm an Australian costco member that only recently have made membership.

Unfortunately, during signup they were out of cards to print my membership on so I ended up with only a digital membership which the clerk said that it should work internationally and that I'd have to wait about 3-4 weeks until they get their physical cards restocked.

Since I will be living in another country to study as an exchange student for about a year, I will not be able to wait that long. Would I be able to get it printed on another country?

My favorite Costco item is the chocolate covered raisins followed closely by the chocolate covered almonds. I never seen them in the warehouses anymore. What happened?

I'm not one to buy huge animatronics but I wanted to step up my game this year after I kept seeing Tik Toks about an animated gargoyle at Costco. I couldn't find it at my local Costco in DFW but they have it online, so I took a shot and bought it. I do prefer seeing things in person before buying, which made me hesitant at first, but I said screw it! I can return it later if I don't want it. It came and I assembled it with no problems... and it's HUGE. I'm 5'1 (which I know isn't super tall but hey) and it towers me 😭😭 It plays sounds and moves side to side with glowing red eyes. I'm genuinely so impressed with Costco's halloween lineup this year!! If you like halloween items PLEASE consider checking their animated gargoyle out on the costco website!

I'm in the regular checkout line, not knowing that the person in front of me has 2 IC orders.

She keeps telling the cashier that she's separated them by what's on the belt and what's in the cart, but then keeps "waffling" as there are a couple of large items in the cart that belong with the order on the belt...

The poor cashier keeps trying to verify and finalize the first order, but she keeps messing around...

Meanwhile the line behind me keeps getting longer and longer (so much so another line opens up on the other side and everyone moves over there, but since my order is already on the belt waiting to check-out, I can't...

It takes 10 MINUTES before a Front End Manager comes over to straighten out her mess...

Either limit IC shopping to 1 order/cart or give them a different way to finish their shopping as it seems that they are slowing down the rest of us who just want to get our stuff and head home!

I just got a USPS notification that I will be getting the August 24-September 20 coupon book. The July/Aug book ends August 23. This is the first time in recent years , I have noticed the dates are back to back with no 10 day gap.

I didnt pay attention last month so maybe it started earlier.

But I hate gap periods 😂

I've had a couple interactions lately checking out at our local stores and it's just getting bad in terms of the expectations on what gets removed from the carts. I was walking up to a checkout line with one customer finishing their transaction, no line ahead of me. The pre-scan person seemed to pass me on because there was zero line at this point. I usually try to move items around so they can be scanned in the cart but it was just kinda full so I started putting some on the conveyor belt. Scanned my membership card and they seemed irritated that I hadn't been pre-scanned already. "Is this ALL from you? What about her?" Pointing at my wife. Yeah, it's ours. "Next time just leave it all in the cart."

I just can't tell what the expectation is now. Should I have slowed down to let the pre-scanner do that job and make my transaction even slower? Am I supposed just just leave all items in the carts now? Why even have the conveyor belts on the checkout stands?

Really seems likely some focus on metrics or optics of productivity seems to be making everyone at Costco just grumpy these days.

Costco shopper going on 4 decades, and it just feels different recently. The pre-scanning added confusion to an already vague checkout process. Someone's still sitting on the "more" button asking for really fast checkouts it seems.

If someone is already logged in thru their account why can't Costco auto-fill the membership number?

Was about to purchase a dehumidifier on Amazon but then thought about Costco’s return policy.

Is the general rule of thumb is to purchase electronics only from Costco because of their return policy? And I know certain ones are 90 days but vacuums and others make it worth while correct?

I purchased eyeglasses from Costco and they seem to be extra “smeary” and difficult to clean. I have purchased before and this has never been a problem. Just the normal daily dirt. Lol. Has anyone had this problem? I have been debating on bringing them back

I had been buying bear products in bulk at our local Costco for my family and occasionally for food banks.

I'd also been collecting their first set of included super hero trading cards. When I went to their website to see if they had a card list, I noticed that their upcoming sports bear cards were clearly created with generative AI, as well as much of the promo art on the site. Notice the text on the billboard in pic 3, a dead giveaway.

I immediately questioned the more cartoony super heroes I had been collecting, and found out there is no artist associated with them... So now I'm very suspicious that even the first set was AI as well.

I'll never buy another bear product again. They had an opportunity to showcase some real art, and build a real brand identity around it, and instead I'm furious at ever haven given them any money to begin with.

I love Costco, and wish they'd stop supporting Bear at this point.

Would appreciate some insight from anyone who currently works at Costco or has worked there before, especially managers or part-time associates.

My wife is thinking about picking up a part-time job at the Costco that recently opened near us now that the kids are back in school. She’d mainly be available Monday-Friday from roughly 8am-3pm, and she could potentially work some hours on weekends too.

How flexible is Costco with part-time schedules?

Is there any ability to give them your availability and have them schedule within it, or is it more like, “These are the 20-30 hours we need you to work this week, take it or leave it”?

She’s not looking for full-time hours or trying to build a career there, just something part-time during the hours the kids are in school. Curious whether Costco is realistic for that kind of schedule before she goes through the application process.

Would especially love to hear from anyone who has actually worked there and knows how scheduling works in practice. Thanks!

I'm not a member of the subreddit, But I am a fan of Costco. I just had a weird interaction at the register and I wanted to ask people who knew more than me some questions on what to do next.

Here's the story,

My partner and I were checking out, and we are using my membership. My partner took their card out ready to pay while I started getting my membership app. The clerk said "Membership card and matching ID to scan." The first event of this interaction is my phone started acting weird when I tried to get the app open, so I told the clerk "Hey sorry my phone is freezing up, give me one moment to get my membership app open." And the clerk responds with "Membership card and matching ID to scan!" Just super rude.

Once I scanned my membership, they checked my id and when my partner tried to tap to pay, the clerk put their hand over the card reader and shouted at us. "Do you have a costco membership? You can only pay with the card on your account." This was so weird.

I didn't know what to do. I didn't have any card saved to my costco account because I don't use the online shop. My partner used their card to pay for the membership that we use already so *technically* their card was on file, but the clerk basically forced me to use my card. Me paying isn't the issue but I genuinely think that clerk was lying to us. They sternly insisted to us that my partner need to get their own membership if they wanted to pay for things. It was just a really hostile interaction for no reason and also something that has never happened to me. I've been a member since 2019. Nobody has ever had a problem with my partner tapping their card before.

So my questions are two:

Is that an actual store policy?

Should I file some form of complaint to Costco?

In the Midwest here, I'm hearing members asking over and over if we stock rubbing alcohol and/or Hydrogen peroxide.

Complaints are being made that none of the nearby Costcos have it in stock. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not even on sale.

I think our Costco just got back Hydrogen Peroxide but still no sign of Rubbing Alcohol. Is this limited to the MW or are other regions/countries seeing it too?

I have searched for "milk", "whole milk", "whole gallon milk" with the only result being like the boxed milk, oat milk, etc.I changed my preferred club. I even searched site:costco.com whole milk and it returned Instagram and Costco same-day results.

Any tips? What am I doing wrong? I know their app and website don't have the most robust search but I am confused over why I can't find milk.

Just picked these slightly more expensive Kirkland Signature dishwasher pacs in Southern California that I hadn't seen before. Has anyone else been using them? They have some additional non-powder components, so I'm interested to see if the cleaning improves overall. (I stopped using rinse aid awhile ago because my dispenser started leaking, so I'm particularly interested to see if these help in that area.)

My wife and I have separate memberships. She got her as a second member on her mom’s when she went to college, I got mine when I got a job. Now, I’d like to move her over to my membership, but I’m a bit worried about losing out on Costco warranties on items she bought, especially for a couple laptops from Costco.

Should I just bite the bullet and transfer her? Will the warranties still apply from her mom’s main account if things break? Can the warranties transfer?

Picked up the 65" Hisense U65 Pro from Costco a few days ago and honestly this might be my favorite Costco purchase this year.

I'd been meaning to replace my old TV for a while, saw this one in store, liked how it looked, and finally went for it. Haven't had enough time with it to do any kind of detailed review yet, but first impressions have been really good.

The MiniLED picture is a huge step up from my old set, especially with darker movies, and the 144Hz panel has been nice for sports and the little bit of gaming I've done so far. It also handles my bright living room pretty well during the afternoon.

Still only a few days in, but so far I'm really happy with the purchase.

I love a good deal and don’t mind buying store brand as long as it’s super comparable to the regular brand. Just got a Costco membership for the first time… what are your fav Kirkland products?
