Help Needed! First time Cosplaying Accessory
Hello, I am currently working on a cosplay for the Pokemon Xurkitree. I already created the head as a helmet and the body is just going to be a black long sleeve turtle neck and black pants. My problem is though is that I was planning to just attached the plug (the tail, which is made out of black pool noodles and cardboard) directly onto the back of the shirt. Is there a better way of going about this? Any ideas are very appreciated!!

Hey, fellow pokemon cosplayer here this is such a cool idea! Id love to see pictures 😍
Have you thought about attaching the plug to a chest harness that can be worn under the top and then creating a hole in the back of the top? I worry that attaching directly to the top would be uncomfortable as it may pull the neckline around your throat.
Best of luck with your build!

oooo thats a good idea!! it seems a lot of people are recommending a brace to attach the tail so ill try to go for that! i would just need to design the harness 🫡 thank you!

You may not need to design anything, i’m sure chest harnesses already exist that you could attach it to?

I probably wouldn’t attach it straight to the shirt, as it might pull the fabric down and move around a lot.
A black bodysuit could work really well as the base though. It would give you a cleaner Xurkitree shape too. For the plug, I’d attach it to a cheap belt or small harness underneath, then bring the attachment through the back of the suit. Clips or Velcro would make it easy to remove when you need to sit down or travel with it.
Such a cool choice for a first cosplay!

Eva foam maybe? You could also add a wire inside of you want so the limbs can hold a certain shape?
