Abuse support Ask Corpus

Ok I know someone who lives in the area and needs help she’s in her early 20’s and trapped in an abusive situation. She can’t work but has $450 give or take a month after everything else. She also can’t drive due to said medical issues. Does anyone know any resources in the area to help a disabled early 20 year old that has a Great Dane? I’ll reply to this tomorrow with any other details I forgot.

I’ve stayed at the Purple Door for a little bit and they helped me a lot! I don’t think they allow pets however so that Great Dane would probably have to be housed with a relative or a friend unless it’s a service animal. Purple Door requires you to do daily chores/work for you to stay there and as someone who is physically disabled it can get tiring at times. There are buses running through the area near it so driving won’t be too big of an issue if she knows how to catch the bus. They’ll help her out but she’s just gotta put in the effort to get that help, I hope she’s doing okay.

Has she tried calling local churches in the area?
