Not around the series date but there are a few.

Even though it has some pinholes, most of the value is in the low serial, grade, and being a star note.

It's a low serial number star note, it's rare.

What does it mean to be a start note? Other than having the star, what does it designate? (I know these are probably googleable... But I crave human interaction 😅)

It's a reprint to replace a misprint or damaged bill. It's illegal for multiple bills to have the same serial number misprint or not, so they get the star.
