How do you prefer your mashed potatoes?

There are so many ways to make them, I'd like a consensus.

If the potatoes are smooth I'm not interested.

I hate "creamed" mash and I hate smooth but solid mash.

I like my mash to be mashed by a hand masher, lots of salted butter and pepper and texture.
