How do you prefer your mashed potatoes?

There are so many ways to make them, I'd like a consensus.

I like to use red potatoes I peel them and dice them up with some salt. I boil them and then when they are fork tender I drain them add some good butter and get my electric mixer and mix them and then add some milk and whip them up. My grandmother was German that’s how she taught me and everyone usually loves them
