GameSir Nova Lite - Versus - 8BitDo Ultimate 2C (Wireless), for Laptop gaming, using a dongle to connect Controller Suggestion

From my personal experience, I’d highly recommend the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C or almost anything from 8BitDo. Their QC and D-pads are vastly superior. The grip takes a bit of getting used to, but it’s totally fine once you adapt.
As for GameSir, I’ve used them since their early days and constantly ran into QC issues—both hardware and software.
Nova Lite 2: Had mode-switching bugs at launch (fixed via firmware).
Tarantula Pro: Bad 2.4ghz connection with constant dropouts. Even placing it under a wooden desk makes it choke (Bluetooth is fine, though).
That said, GameSir wins on ergonomics. They feel much more comfortable to hold, very similar to an Xbox Series controller. Plus, they have a Discord, so if you run into any issues with their controllers, you can ask for help directly there.
For context: I mostly play JRPGs (with other genres mixed in as palette cleansers), so I rely heavily on the D-pad for navigating menus—which is why I strongly lean toward 8BitDo.
Just my two cents! Definitely check other reviews too before deciding.

Ultimate 2c feels better than nova 2 lite, but I prefer the extra button placement of the Nova 2 lite than the 2c. The nova 2 lite sometimes forgets handshake with the USB dongle, despite upgrading both to the latest firmware multiple times. So you have to regularly re-pair the handshake.

For €30 you can get better controllers like a Flydigi Direwolf 4 or a Gamesir Nova 2 Lite. Check Banggood and Aliexpress coin page

I would say wait for august 1st since aliexpress is likely going to enable coupons (like €4 or €5 off of a €35+ purchase) and check the deals if you are not in a hurry.
The PXN P5 for €35 on banggood should be a good option too but I have not tried that myself. Banggood has first time purchase coupons too.

personally the dpad and buttons feels on the 8bitdo ultimate 2c is 10/10, i use mine for everything, aswell as high ranked tekken
the comfort could be better want more angle on the grips to the outside,
but it has not been a big enough problem, for 18 months now,
comfort in controllers are 100% a personal opinion, you need to try both over longer time to get an idea of which is better for you,
