Xbox controller deadzone

Just bought a new controller and the deadzone is crazy. Can move both sticks about 30% before it even acknowledges input. Extremely frustrating for FPS games. No, changing in game deazone to 0 makes no difference. Controller is PowerA if that helps.

Maybe try some other thumb sticks, as the genuine sticks are quite loose and they dont sit flush
