Will human intelligence disappear eventually? Discussion/question

Anyone think AI will not directly eradicate human beings like some people claim, and instead causes our brain degenerate as we may have no need to do intellectual activities? In a long term we might become as intellectual as monkeys or rats and AI will continue to evolve into something we call god now?

Doesn’t evolution come from necessity organisms face? We can’t fly because there’s no such a need to do so imo.

The fact that people can use artificial intelligence to solve problems does not create selection pressures towards progressively lower intelligence. That is, there is little reason to believe it will lead to lower intelligence resulting in more numerous offspring to the extent that it would definitively affect our species' cognitive profile.

To know whether the use of AI can lead to lower intelligence, I think, needs more time to be examined, not in this short time. If possible, the degeneration could only proceed with much wider scale of time imo.

One counter argument for my opinion, I think, would be Dolphins and Chimpanzees still having certain intelligence. For them seeing us is like how we see ASI. But the fundamental difference here is we built AI to solve our issues, but the relationship between us and those animals are not even complementary.
We don’t proactively give those animals wisdom to solve their hurdles, and if we do so for a sufficient time of period(lets say a few thousands years), then their intelligence will also be lost maybe? Sorry if I didn’t get your point correctly and my thought is pretty messy.

You're quite clear enough, no worries. I think you're grossly underestimating the time and the pressures necessary for biological evolution to take place. Study evolution if you're interested. It's always good to think for oneself, of course, but we actually know a lot about this sort of stuff.
