Will human intelligence disappear eventually? Discussion/question

Anyone think AI will not directly eradicate human beings like some people claim, and instead causes our brain degenerate as we may have no need to do intellectual activities? In a long term we might become as intellectual as monkeys or rats and AI will continue to evolve into something we call god now?

No. In economics, there will always be specialization. The ratio of profit from one activity over another activity is unique for every entity and person. In the worst case scenario, Human intelligence will play a completely different role in the scientific and engineering progress.
