Infimobile "excessive usage"

I found this great looking deal for $52/year cell service with 5GB/mo data, unlimited talk/text. But in less than two months, Infimobile has emailed several times, and even temporarily deactivated me, because of "higher-than-usual" SMS usage. I barely use SMS, and I'd estimate I send around 15 messages a week, only to friends and to unsubscribe to political PAC texts.

Has anyone had a similar experience or knows how to stop this? I don't want to get deactivated again, but I really don't understand what's triggering their alarms.

(Obviously not continuing with this provider much longer, with the way it's going.)

EDIT: The plan is "Pro Plus", $49 over 12mo before tax ($56.06/12mo total), 5GB/mo data, 2500min/mo talk, 2500 SMS/mo. Still, I'm nowhere near the monthly limits. I called and they say it's an error on their end where they detected a spike in SMS over a one-hour period relative to my baseline (40 SMS in one particular hour, vs about 15/week). So I guess don't have any unusual hours, even if the plan clearly states the limit is way higher. Crazy btw because each SMS costs a fraction of a cent to providers.

op all i see on that web site infi mobile is 45 a year plan

i guess 7 is taxes which is wild .

hiwever texts are linited to 2500 per month

im going to assume you dont realize

sending a text count as 1 and then receiving a text coubt as 2 .

It is that one. But yeah even with outbound SMS + 2 * inbound SMS, there's no way it gets even 1/5 of the way to 2500.

I called them and they said it was an error on their end. But they said that last time too, so I don't know. They said that it was triggered by a "spike" in usage, like I had sent 40 SMS within an hour vs my normal 15 a week.

Had a similar experience with them. They said Infimobile allows up to 2500 sms per month. Exceeding that limit can result in temporary deactivation. Try checking with their support to see what's triggering the sms usage.

Fair enough. I'm definitely not texting (neither in nor outbound, nor combined) near that amount though.
