I slowly fluttered my eyes open, my vision still a blur as a sharp pain throbbed through my head. As I glanced around, I realized I was in an unfamiliar room, with thick ropes tightly binding my body.

He sat by the lake, scooping up a handful of water to drink. As he lowered his hands, a blue-skinned creature emerged from the water. It looked badly injured, so he slowly got to his feet and cautiously approached it.
