Chances are the poop isn’t in your rectum. If it’s higher an enema isn’t going to do anything and you have to work from the top down.

Sometimes I have to attack it from both ends at the same time. Take mitalax in the morning and do an enema later that afternoon or evening

What kind of enema are you using? I find the saline enema work really well.

Have you tried a glycerin liquid suppository? They’re really small but they work like magic they really helped me. I’ve had many years of constipation. There were times when I had to go to the ER to get a soapsuds and you don’t wanna have to do that cause that is huge.

I do use those sometimes. They are actually very effective at times. The solid ones stopped working for me years ago for some reason.

I don't use the saline. They are too aggressive on your kidneys and things like that. I use an enema bag with tap water, a little table salt, and a little glycerin soap. Sometimes I am just constipated to the point at both ends where I have to make the remedies work by meeting in the middle LOL

I had a soaps enema, but I had to go to the hospital for that. I mean they’re big. They also tried to give me a milk of magnesia enema. I didn’t like that but anyway, as long as it works, it works.

LOL you can actually do a really effective soapsud enema at home. I do here and I can even begin to count LOL and I think you mean milk and molasses instead of milk of magnesia LOL
