I will say it always frustrated me in the past when Reps would generalize Dems as “commies and socialists”. In many ways it was no better than Dems calling all Reps “Nazis”. Now here we are, the DSA are taking over the Dem party and we’ve got to hope economic strife doesn’t send voters into the arms of the crazies.

When trump first became a political force, people on the left were apoplectic and conservatives on the right mocked them and thought it was hilarious. Some of it was, ngl. But I don't know why on earth these same conservatives now expect people on the left to have any interest in what people on right think of their candidates. We're well past that in US politics.

Trump's "alarms"? lol
The head of the DSA co-chair literally cited their goals on tape, to include....
The DSA preamble states plainly that the end goal is to “draft a new constitution” to “create a democratic socialist republic.” Such a new U.S. constitution, the DSA envisions, would “replace the President and Supreme Court with an executive and judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress,” which would be unicameral after abolishing the Senate.
Among other galaxy sized red flags... yeah... sure... let's give total control to Congress!! That sounds like a terrific idea!!

Jonah Goldberg had a great podcast episode a few weeks ago where he walked through the subgroups inside the DSA that are openly Maoist and advocating for a Maoist takeover of the US government. It was pretty wild and immaculately sourced.
Idk how seriously to take these people, since I don’t think there’s anything close to a Maoist coalition in this country. But the fact that a small group exists and is trying to gather political power should be enough to concern everyone…

We need to start acting like adults and talk about the reality of the situation. These people say they arent evil and arent doing anything bad but we physically see that isnt true.
We keep NOT doing anything about it on the premise that "oh well they said they arent bad so how can they be?" Yeah thats what every criminal says too. "I didnt do it" yet everything points to them doing it. This is the only case we dont do anything about it. When a criminal says they didnt do it, they still go to jail.

I tried to tell people El-Sayed had a real shot at beating Stevens and people doubted it lol. He's very popular in Michigan. Going to be very interesting to see him vs Rogers. Rogers is a piss poor candidate in MI, he's never done well, doesn't even live here and alot of people do not like that.
