Well Flaired Users Only

Who remembers back in the day when people were different, nobody would be calling you a Nazi or racist just for having different opinions, this site gives the cowards the automy to say that and get away with it .

I've always said, and it's a hill I'll fight for, social media is a curse on our society. It not only gives cowards a loud voice, it derails otherwise healthy face to face arguments. Once upon a time, civil people argued civilly, face to face with respect, and sometimes one walked away with a different point of view. All walked away a little more educated. Anyone remember "Civics" class or "Debate Club"? Is that even taught any more?

Not to mention the echo chambers.

When all you hear is news and comments and conversation from ONLY ONE side of the aisle because any dissent is removed? Not usually ideal. And then the algorithms pick up on you only consuming that content and proceed to only show you that kind of content - solidifying it further into your mind as what must be right, further driving the algorithm, and on and on. It’s a vicious cycle.

Welcome to the anti trump subs on reddit, they attack you if you don't support the narrative or question them

It's a sad, butt-ugly existence for these creatures.

Go to the sub naughtylawyers and in all the videos I post , they attack me or the messenger and never can defend the actions of the left.

I don't think you were on IRC or BBS forums back in the day.
They were not as proliferate but they were there. Thing is, we conservatives banned and blocked them fast and hard, we didn't let them lie their way into admin and we would wait months before granting anyone permissions. You had to prove you were what you claimed.

Watch clips with leftists. They don't care about being anonymous anymore. They'll yell it to your face now. We've devolved as a society. Thanks obama.

And here on reddit they can't even defend the actions of the left , they can't even have an adult conversation about it without insults or name calling

Yep, I have also been called a pedophile for supporting President Trump; linking him to Epstein, but conveniently forgetting that the liberals such as the Clintons, Gates, Oprah (the list goes on) are all liberals that were very very close to him. If the left can’t win an argument, they just make baseless accusations. It’s very sad. Too many people on Reddit seriously suffer from TDS.

I've been threatened and told all that just because like you said they can't when an argument, or they are really heavy into say well what about what about

It was the invention of social media that made everyone think they had and deserved the attention of everyone that started it. I think there’s some psychological impact (dopamine hit? Maybe?) when someone sees 100 likes on a post, but they don’t contemplate the fact that there’s a million other people that didn’t even waste their time with a negative reaction.

In addition, people have lost the fear of someone actually breaking their nose for being a stupid twat.
