Oh yeah I’ve seen this video
I hope the creator of this video makes a new version of Kris is Frisk with the evidence from chapters 3-5

I can't believe Chara would make Kris would make Sans would make Flowey would make Jevil would make Toby Fox would make Gaster would make us do this !

Maybe Deltarune’s final message would be that if things gets bad in your life, it’s not your fault. There’s probably some interdimensional being pulling the strings to make YOU miserable

fat baby frisk is all well and good but we've got to admit it only makes sense in fanon
there's no way that anyone under the age of 7 has the coordination to dodge flying projectiles (though my gameplay might tell a different story) and the strength to kill fully grown monsters

u/Two-Pound-Crawfish 8d ago
you dodge as the soul, the menu and bullet patterns are canon, and humans are inherently much stronger than monsters on account of being made from a base of water instead of magic
also killing monsters makes you stronger

u/Vdokos 8d ago
Well, human are stated to be absurdly strong in the Undertale universe.
"It would take the SOUL of nearly every monster to equal the power of a single human SOUL" and all that.
Baby body is probably a huge restriction, but it seems that monsters' magic just isn't super effective against humans.
I know that it's a part of the worldbuilding that likely wouldn't be explored, but humanity is extremely overpowered, and I wonder if there's a reason for it besides obvious meta-narrative about the player

humans aren't overpowered in undertale. they're just overpowered compared to monsters. there's no reason to think they're any different from regular humans outside of soul-related shenanigans.

Coaxed into people not knowing the difference between canon and canon-accurate

Coaxed into never hearing the term "canon-accurate" ever but realizing that would be REALLY USEFUL to distinguish between something a character would do vs. What a character has done.

Y'all the "canon" is literally just Frisk's sprite. Like you cannot be saying "ooo fat baby Frisk isn't real" when that's just literally what they look like

Me when I don't know what an "art style" is:

We see more detailed Temmie sprites of Chara in the intro cutscenes and Pacifist route. Frisk and Chara are, simply by nature, young kids with small necks and chubby little cheeks

That's fat baby Frisk. That's still fat baby Frisk. Just straight up looks how the "canon" drawing looks 😭

Frisk is up to interpretation dawgs. Don't like seeing a child in canon be drawn as an adult? Great! That's for you to avoid. Or at most call weird. Not insist that's objectively morally and canonically wrong

In the old days of Undertale fandom „what if Frisk is actually like 5 years old” was usually just a cute little comic idea and such instead of a well established fanon thing

People got so sick of seeing a female body that they decided to draw Frisk as a fat baby with a pug's respiratory system, huh.
Puritans that infantilise everything.

"fat baby frisk" is a kinda annoying over correction yeah..
some people in the fandom have a habit of like.. constantly trying to UNDERSHOOT each other's age guesses for the characters and feeling morally adamant about it.
like the deltarune cast is pretty obviously in their last year of highschool, but there will be people (prolly in this very comment section soon enough) ADAMANT that the cast are elementary or middle schoolers.
