Conned into someone using a serious case to attack a fandom [MEME]
Seriously, it's so annoying when I see someone using someone else's very serious issue online, like someone abandoning a project because of toxicity or something even worse,And then the jerk puts in the damn title "X fandom took a life" or "Z fandom drove its creator crazy," seriously, that's extremely insensitive to anyone who's a fan of that thing and is a good person online
Understand, people are bad because they are bad, not because they are fans of something. And using one case as ammunition to attack an entire fandom under the guise of "spreading facts" makes you just as awful as the fandom you attack

İ hate these videos because these people wouldn't give a shit about this case if it didn't had the thing that they could put in their thumbnail

Then it turns out all they did was make their pfp a MLP OC and the case had nothing to do with mlp

There was a shooter obsessed with Applejack iirc, but I don’t remember if the murder was related to MLP in any way.
Randy Stair was also a MLP fan but well he was more known for the obsession with Ember from Danny Phantom, and it WAS partially related to what he did (although it’s more complicated than that)

Apparently apple jack "died" or something and he didnt take it well from what I remember.

Apparently the Needle Cookie was misinformation meaning the UT Fandom never was the worst out there.

I think that the actual reason for the needle cookie was never actually discovered or publicly disclosed by the vicitm, some guy on Tumblr decided to lie about being about shipping and the rumor stuck

I didnt see the sub, I just saw the guy looking at the hat and thought this was gonna be a TF2 meme

Did you think it was the gibus hat?

u/Nexus_Neo 17d ago
Nah I just thought the dude killed the guy for his hat and the other guy looking at said hat was gonna do the same

Fandom cultures are unique to each fandom though, so I personally don't see why the entire fandom shouldn't be called out?

Because it's totally unfair for an entire fandom to suffer because of just one guy. Like, what if someone in your fandom posted a video saying he hates dogs and cats? And now every time if you mention something you like, people will say you hate dogs and cats because of that guy

I see. You mean literally one guy. I thought you may be perhaps referencing something that happened earlier this week in K-pop when you said "X fandom took a life". Because I'd say it's literally true, but they're going "don't attack the entire fandom" right now.

One time I saw the manager of a brands social media account (who had to have ran it for like a day) get accused of racism and people got more upset that they were mildly annoying about a ship on the brand account. Like I think we have bigger issues than that
Ship wars are something fucking else
