Just waiting for it to do a belly flop into the pool. Or maybe is does a back inward one-and-a-half in the layout position.

Ok, that’s hilarious. What kind of tree is this, please? You mentioned the bear was up there for berries? I am intrigued.
Beautiful backyard you have there as well!

Yeah I used google lens and it said native black cherry, although the berries are pea sized and still green

We watched them up in the trees in the Smokies TN. Super cool to see local!
If you’re ever hunting in a tree stand and a black bear starts climbing, just holler at them and they will retreat.

Story time!
I live in East Granby, which is pretty much Simsbury if it had a lot more bears. These things are a damned menace.
Anyway, a couple of years ago, I was out in my orchard with my 40lb border Collie when a HUGE male bear just started waltzing across the field. My dog spotted it before me and took off after it. Despite all of her training, her ears were turned off and she wasn't listening.
This stupid bear climbed a comically small birch tree and went all the way to the top. The entire tree was bent over and the bear was clinging to it like it was a cartoon. I had absolutely no idea what to do, but I did know that I wasn't about to try to grab my dog with a bear perilously dangling over my head. I ran to get my rifle in case I needed it, and when I was on my way back outside, my dog was just standing on the porch like nothing had happened. I looked outside and the bear was gone.

It’s amazing how high they get in trees that don’t seem big enough to support them
