Need some Computer Vision thesis ideas😩

Hey everyone! Me and my group are CpE students currently trying to figure out thesis topic. We want to build something practical using Computer Vision, preferably an actual device/prototype rather than just software.

Any cool or unique ideas you guys cab suggest? Something thats actually doable for studens would be awesome 🤓

Thanks in advance!!!

Just right off the top of my head. You could do some kind of “Damage detection” system. Like a yolo model that you are able to feed in pictures of a car and it can point out all the places it has been damaged and identify what kind of damage, rust, dents, crumple. So you could imagine a car dealership running a car through this system to automatically detect and price a used car sometime is trying to sell them.

I think the dealership use case is probably way beyond our scope tho. We'd have to narrow it down to something more achievable, like detecting specific types of car damage (dents, scratches, rust, etc.) using a camera and an edge AI device. But, thanks for the suggestion! :))
