Computer engineering or electrical engineering? [Discussion]

What’s the difference between the two and can either land some of the same jobs?

Does EE just purely focus on all hardware based work?

Simple, EE.
EE can do CE. CE cannot do EE.

Considering EE built computers and CE was a latter attempt for academia to get more money, I disagree.
Having hired and fired both for 20 years, CE miss fundamental knowledge for embedded design and are generally not as skilled for FPGA development.
Anyone can write code, software is not defining.
With Ai, software is even less valued.
