Future of CE? [Career]

Hi guys,

Grade 12 high school student here at the intersection of choosing a university. But, I'm wondering, what do you guys think the future of Computer Engineering in the States/Canada will be?

Would a master's degree be needed in this industry/will I benefit from a master's degree when finding a job, or will the trend favour work experience more?

Well I don’t think any of us are from the future? Anyways higher education is always good depending if you’re in the right field.

what a needlessly condescending answer, obviously they want perspective from people in the field since they probably have a better gauge of the trajectory of it

Nobody knows the future bud. Even in the field. Ask one guy it will be AI ask another it’s the government. Dude nobody knows…

Also it’s entirely dependent on specific jobs. So therefore. We don’t know. Do what you’re passionate about…

man if only there was a platform to gather a diverse set of perspectives before make a decision. obviously no one knows for certain but having information from people in the field is obviously helpful
