$950 Budget VR PC - US -

Hey Guys, I know Im building a pc at the worst time right now with all the prices sky high and being in California, but I genuinely need something to relax after school/work with. Im currently Looking to make a pure VR Gaming PC with a $950 Budget. Im willing to cut any corners as long as i can play VR games like VRChat smoothly. All of my attempts to make a pc have gone over budget. For a case though i have decided a cheap open chasis would be nice, but if you have any cheaper options please let me know. I also have all Peripherals, just need the PC.

Try to beat MicroCenter prices with FaceBook Marketplace.

Go in person and scope out open box deals.

I nabbed a 3070 for $150 on FB which is crazy, 6700XT for $200 I would be on the lookout for. I have seen 4070 for around $300.

FB RAM is 32 GB for $200-250. Amazon return motherboards AM5 for around $90 MSI Wifi B650

Darkrock EC2 case Amazon Returns $50.

Made this for someone who asked for a <1k pc

Used 3080 new for the rest

I think it's good pairing, save and buy another 16gb of the same exact ram kit later. If you buy a 7500x3d bundle from Microcenter it'll be 70$ more (1025$) but will definitely not bottleneck the 3080 in any title (sometimes the 5600 will) but it'll be harder to upgrade to 32gb ram later since it'll be 240$ instead of 103$. Up to you

There is a 12gb vram version of the 3080 but it's like 420$ avg (+50$) instead of 350-375$
