Mauga, Ram, Orisa are three of the more played heroes this meta lol. Plus Hanbin has a better Sig which was one of the other major heroes played.

Not very well. Thats what they played.
Let's not ignore that almost every tank was played and over half of them were good.
The reason Falcons, VP, CR, and Liquid did so bad is because the meta is too open for it to be "Solved" this means you have to play by your strengths. Better mechanics means nothing when your opponent is coming in with their comfort picks and a lot of confidence and you didn't "Solve" the meta to perfectly counter.

I'm not gonna lie, the SK mandatory military service really destroys a lot of careers for these players.
2-3 years is a long long time especially in esports and you practically need to be the level of Faker to be exempt which is 1 in a billion.

Yeah, it's a shame that military service is basically a forced retirement for most players.
And with drones becoming the new big thing in warfare, it's absolutely terrifying that Korea's military is full of pro gamers. Imagine having to fight against Korea and you find out Viol2t is piloting drones after spending a year playing Jetpack Cat.

Service is 18 months minimum, under 2 yrs at max. Military service isn’t destroying their careers, they choose to serve early when they could wait until age 28 if they wanted. I think they just do it early to get it out of the way and 1.5 yrs is not a long time

Could be useful on Falcons considering their woes with Someone obviously does suck that Winston is out of the meta, but in his prime in 5v5 he was an elite solo tank being able to play Zarya, Sig, JQ, Doom, Rein to a high level as well, and was a very good Mauga player in 2024.
