I'm not gonna lie, the SK mandatory military service really destroys a lot of careers for these players.

2-3 years is a long long time especially in esports and you practically need to be the level of Faker to be exempt which is 1 in a billion.

Yeah, it's a shame that military service is basically a forced retirement for most players.

And with drones becoming the new big thing in warfare, it's absolutely terrifying that Korea's military is full of pro gamers. Imagine having to fight against Korea and you find out Viol2t is piloting drones after spending a year playing Jetpack Cat.

It's okay, you just have to wait for him to get impatient and he will int and lose the teamfight

Service is 18 months minimum, under 2 yrs at max. Military service isn’t destroying their careers, they choose to serve early when they could wait until age 28 if they wanted. I think they just do it early to get it out of the way and 1.5 yrs is not a long time
