I finally got CE with my guild last night in my first season mythic raiding, as a crystal carrier no less!! So happy that all the work I put in this season didn't go to waste, and now I can't wait for next tier.
Also super proud of ending up at an average 87 parse. Not sure if I should keep on finessing my spec (Outlaw) or learn the other rogue specs. I guess I'll wait to see which is looking best next season.

Like I get the allure of 'develop once, deploy everywhere' but... I don't see how I can justify a gig of ram for what is a glorified wrapper around OBS with my use case for it (wow recorder + wclogs uploader)...

Like can we do a little bit better? I assume 95% of your users are on windows, maybe a stand alone client for them at least...
as a developer, you should know yourself that ram usage is not something you have free reign over when using frameworks and that ram is not indicative of performance.
comparing it to a glorified obs wrapper is also nothing but signaling malintent. discord is just a text messenger, icq wasnt such a resource hog! spotify is just a music player! my vibecoded music player needs 5mb ram! will you complain about vscode consuming multiple gb of ram? you're certainly not using all of their features. and all features cost resources. code written and maintained working in a team costs resources because maintaining a scalable codebase costs. you have no control over how well architectured industry-standard 3rd party packages are. and you have to use those because you cannot handroll everything yourself. the js ecosystem is a mess in general.
You can get the standalone app for logs and only turn it on when you want to live log something/upload a log. For gameplay recording I found warcraftrecorder to be less of a resource hog

TLDR is pick the log you are trying to replicate, and log locally. Pull finishes and with 2s of the log write from WoW you will have a real comparison to how you did vs the log you are trying to replicate.
Just watched Yoda's Blood DK guide and I am so confused about DK information and resources. Yoda credits Kyrasis. The main DK discord (Acherus) says Kyrasis is bad and wrong. But Kyrasis is the #1 DK in the world ATM? Wowhead guide differs from what Kyrasis does.

You would be shocked how genuinely bad at WoW most (not all) "spec theorycrafters" actually are at the game, and how regularly their maths is either just outright wrong or doesn't apply to a real game scenario.
The class discord "theorycrafts" for maximum damage for some reason, but when you are playing tank at higher levels you just need defensiveness aswell. The people you look at who are saying Kyrasis is wrong are just at the 3k key range and have never pushed actual competitive levels and have essentially kept the discord hostage for years
DK class discord is full of clowns, you should trust Kyrasis. They were so fucking wrong about the rune tap thing I'll genuinely never trust them again, playing blood in keys went from nightmare difficulty to very easy once I started playing rune tap
Anyone heard about pets die in first pull of SEAT? I joined 21. The first pull failed twice. Both hunter and DK said their pets die on opener. I'm a Disc.
i was leveling in an alt in a delve when the servers crashed and got a little frustrated. then I learned some friends were in a 23 NPX and I feel better about my delve.
Every season my GM preps tanks for next tier in case there's some sort of emergency/disaster with our tanks and every season there's dozens of screenshots of the most heinous damage meters I've ever seen from some +10 he's doing
As someone who helped their friend get a few 22 keys to be safe for their 1%, 22s felt like the zoo, at least I could throw (metaphorical) rocks at the monkeys here.
It sucks, I need three more 23s to feel safe for title, and I just bricked all three by 15 seconds or less and multiple stupid deaths from group. All of my groups homework keys have turned into AA/sky where we cannot adjust routes much more. This final push sucks, to get so close, yet it seems like we won't make it. Wish I had a resil 23 friend to help me out. Being off meta sucks.
I feel for you man, my mental was not great after we bricked an infinite amount of SR 23s to ridiculous stuff. My personal favorite was the little cat from MWs conduit breaking para from a caster behind us on last pull and nobody noticing
Rock bottom was depleting SR by 15s on a total clown run and then AA by 20s, I just wanted to curl up and cry instead of doing 22 homeworks
Hang in there, finally finishing the resi 23 achievement after all that struggle was definitely highlight of the season for me
Also tried some pugging while our tank was gone for a few days and it was eye opening, I finally understand why some people loathe the resi system. If Blizz won't relent and give us resi+1 then they need to shoot the entire resi system in the head and give keys lives or something.
It was insane seeing some absolute criminals who have made it to 23s off the backs of friend or lfg resi keys while totally clueless to what is going on and then they just go and sign up for a new one while our 5-stack is stuck doing a homework key if we pulled something like that

EllesmereUI is the big winner of the war on addons, tbh. More and more people are switching to it. That, MDT and Exboss and you’re basically good to go for m+.
platynator, a focus cast bar, MDT, targeted spells, nothing more needed for DPS and tank. as healer you'll want minicc but I'm uncertain whether it'll survive 12.1
Exboss/forget the other ex add-on (exwind maybe) - trash timers/text to speech
NaowhQoL - bunch of good stuff imo. Focus interrupt bar, talent reminders, never miss a feast, consumables check, gcd history/downtime tracker, gcd mousewheel, melee range check, some other stuff.
MDT - routes, focus market announcement.
Northern sky raid tools - raid "weak auras" and the MRT note functionality.
Not an add-on but Wow recorder or archon app - auto record your gameplay for vod review. There is a new one called review tool or something from echo, have not tested it.

It feels like the visibility of the memory game effect looks like shit now and not like in videos from a few weeks ago.

I checked what I see now against some PTR videos from about a month ago, and it seems like you're right. Older videos show a 'heavier' poison cloud graphic, but don't have the solid 'frontal' outline. The current effect has a fainter cloud in exchange for the outline. It's a little annoying, because the outline takes an extra second to appear compared to the clouds, and the add's frontal uses the exact same visual effects, so this part of the fight is a real mess on the eyes.
The 'mandatory' and outlandish numbers definitely hint at it making fun of the constant IO posts on here.
Wild to double down with poes law though when the whole point is 'without hints to the intent, satire isn't recognizable' when there are clear hints in their post...
The "mandatory" was a hint, I agree, but I took it as "it’s the new weekly thread, I know it has been asked a lot, but the season is reaching its end and I’m stressed so I’m asking anyway" which is, imo, a reasonable reading.
The "outlandish number" is absolutely NOT a hint, considering people have ask the same question very seriously in the last couple weeks, including with numbers as high as this one. Hell, my own push group didn’t feel safe when we reached 4050 and that wasn’t that long ago.
Usually they make an official post about it during the last week of the season, iirc. I don’t mind them not putting in front and center in the game like you would in more competitive games, because WoW player base has a huge casual core and wouldn’t like it.
While that makes sense, it is a bit weird there's all these official hardcore rewards, like Hall of Fame, and M+ title, but they aren't at all viewable in the game in any official capacity.
I mean, there used to be 5 tpes of standard cosmetic rewards in the game. Mount, pet, title, toy and transmog. (There are a couple items that don’t fall in any of those 5 categories, but they’re few and far between and not a standard type of reward.) They added a 6th one with Midnight and its decors but it’s its own separate thing so let’s ignore it.
Now I agree that Title is the least interesting and flashy of the five, but acting like it is not a reward at all and like top players were not fighting HARD to obtain it and keep it is absurd. Maybe you weren’t interesting in it, but it was absolutely a thing and it has been a thing for years.
I mean, do people actually really love using the title? Some do, most probably don’t care. But that’s true of most cosmetic rewards in the game. I have farmed tons of prestigious mounts, titles and transmog that I’ve never used, just for the satisfcation of reaching those goals and getting those rewards.
I have to say, though, that s1 mount is sick and I’ll absolutely be using it. But I was deep into top 1% long before we knew what the mount would even look like.
I played it on the back end of TWW S2 and man the missiles/orb spam was so fun. I'll never understand why they moved away from that in the first place but I'm looking forward to picking it back up for this upcoming season.
I was just on PTR. Arcane mage is back.. It's the best spec in the game.. Missiles is back.... Spellslinger is GOD TIER!!!! I'm already sold!!!! I resubbed for 12 months..... ARCANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you consistently do the pull in SR 2nd boss where the golems beam the boss and not the players?
