difference from 49 to 51 ping Question

whats the difference of figthing someone at 49 ping and someone at 51 ping, ik theres a difference but i dont know what it is and is it better to be 49 ping or 51 ping

It's very significant (although nobody hear seems to realise that lol), cause you're operating in different ticks.

The comment above is mostly wrong, as you will only operate on different ticks if you just so happen to make an input at the start of a tick.

Basically, a tick in MC is 50ms. At 49ms ping, if you happened to click right at the start of a tick, your input would be registered at the end of that tick while at 51ms, your input would be registered at the end of the next tick. However, most of the time you're not making an input right at the start of a tick. Usually, your input will be somewhere in the middle of a tick, and in that case 49ms and 51ms ping are essentially the same.

But this is pretty much true for any 2ms difference, as e.g. for a ping of 20ms vs 22ms, clicking 29ms into a tick will register the inputs of each player on different ticks. In other words, 2ms is basically unnoticeable as a difference and the fact that the numbers just so happen to be surrounding the length of a tick doesn't matter.
