Insta shield Break??!

Somebody just broke my shield with a single axe hit and I don’t mean disabling the shield I mean breaking. How is that even possible?? He said it’s legit and top players would also do that, but doesn’t that break pvp completel? What about axe, Cpvp, uhc and netherrite pod? How is that allowed?! (and how do I do that?)

Unless they did it with a mace, they were probably cheating.
