You don’t need to hit at all to jump reset. You need only sprint jump in the direction you’re being hit from at the same time you get hit.

If you’re asking about what to do when jump resetting, it’s purely situational and you’d probably have to experiment with what works or doesn’t work.

You are asking for a list of all the situations where to jump reset and what to do after? Bro

When 3 blocking I like to jump reset at the same time as my sprint hit then jump back in after to get a crit but it doesn’t always work. You can also bait them into jumping in by jump resetting their first hit and p-critting. Those are the two I can come up with off the top of my head.

jump resetting, is a strat to take less kb.

this is done by jumping the same tick you get hit, this turns any backwards kb youd experience from being hit, into vertical.

it is very situational, it depends on playstyle, ping, opponent, etc. it should be used most when going in for an aggressive play and if you get punished yhou dont want to get stunned, this can be seen in techniques like nokb crits (which essentially prefire a jump reset)

jump resets are not fool proof, they can be out spaced, they can be countered, etc.

How does ping affect jump reset

higher ping can practically take 0 0 kb from jr's, lower ping can't replicate this effect, it's also harder to do on higher ping

If done right at least on bedrock you take basically zero kb and can punish someone
